Meeting on the first Saturday in December worked very nicely with 15 coming. Many considerate apologies were received. We especially wish John C, Jill and Bron a happy Christmas together.
The garden admin. staff were most welcoming and this could become our regular December gathering place.
Two baby girls were celebrated, Josephine in Perth and in Melbourne with us, Margi and John’s recent furry arrival, Lola.
An unusual walk suited to everyone took us out through gardens on the other side of the river, across Scotch and below the Eastern Freeway, returning along the boundary of Royal Burnley G.C. We had appetites for a well provided lunch with hot and cold drinks. There was much catching up to do. (So much so that we kind of overlooked taking photos of the group.)
Eventually we dispersed (leaving a lonely drinks bottle) to conclude an adventurous year of walks.
PS. Said bottle is on holiday in Mt Martha.
