The Sydney Week of Walks was a resounding success and enjoyed immensely by all.
Our first day began with a serene ferry ride to Watsons Bay to walk the coast from South Head into a rainy and deserted Bondi beach. Rain did not deter our spirits. See Instagram for the evidence.
Day two took us from Bondi Beach south past Coogee to Maroubra Beach and intimate coves, magnificent cliffs like The Gap and sheltered saltwater swimming pools.
Rest day on Wednesday was unanimously appreciated as Sydney featured much to offer.
On Thursday and Friday, we walked the northern shore of glorious Sydney Harbour. Thursday began easily with a ferry ride to Tooronga Zoo to walk to The Spit. A contrast from the ocean coastal walks as we were sheltered by overhanging trees and at times walked low coastal vegetation. The section on Friday saw us walk from The Spit to Manly.
Sydney public transport system never failed us with its efficiency, ease and convenience. We returned 19 rejuvenated people.
