You Yangs Walk AND agm

The AGM of the MUAB walking group was held on Saturday 15th February in a delightful old school building called Duck Ponds School in the You Yangs Regional Park. There were 21 members present and 1 visitor. After the meeting concluded there was a delicious morning tea which was enjoyed by all. The group then divided into short and long walkers and both groups enjoyed the wonderful vistas of the basalt plains, Geelong and Melbourne in the distance. The long walkers were able to witness an artistic representation of Bungil the Eagle, as a stone arrangement by artist Kevin Rogers constructed in 2006. This same group group even experienced a huge wedgetail eagle hovering over it as they ate their lunch. The short walkers covered the east /west track circumnavigating Flinders Peak and looked down upon the artistic Bungil. Fortunately, we only experienced a couple of short showers of rain during our walks.
